Electrolysis for Transgender Person

So you are currently busy with gender transition to change your sex characteristics and/or your gender presentation to reflect your true gender. Gender Transitioning is a complex process consisting of social, medical and legal aspects, and not all trans people may desire to go through all elements.

Beauty is a concept everyone understands, but is expressed differently by each individual. Your own sense of personal beauty is based on your insight into who you uniquely are, which is the whole reason for your gender transition. When you seek assistance to enhance your appearance to be truly comfortable with yourself, you may find that Permanent Hair Removal can help and reveal the beautiful individual you are.

As a qualified Electrologist, I will understand what it means to be transgender. I take pride in performing my professional responsibilities and I am knowledgeable about treating trans people. I am fully aware of what you are trying to accomplish and how electrolysis fits into your transitioning process. I will respect you, your choices and your privacy. I currently have a referral network from Sexual Health Doctors and have been performing Electrolysis since 2016.

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved 100% Permanent Hair Removal system on the market, as opposed to Laser Hair Removal which is FDA approved for 90% Hair Reduction. Secondly, Electrolysis is removing hairs individually one-by-one and the treatment is colour blind. Meaning, that Electrolysis can treat any colour of hair be it grey, blonde, ginger, light brown or black. Laser is more effective when treating Dark Brown to black hairs, neglecting treatment on other colours of hairs. Third, electrolysis can remove hair from all skin types and skin colour. Electrolysis can remove hair from facial areas and body parts, including: hairline, eyebrows, ears, nose, chin, upper and lower lip, jaw line, cheeks and sideburns, neck, sternum, breasts, abdomen and back, underarms, forearms and hands, bikini line, legs and feet.

Permanent Hair Removal is an important part of transitioning, as you are on hormone therapy to reduce new hair growth, and Electrolysis will remove existing facial and body hair. If you have done your homework, you will know that Electrolysis is the only Permanent Hair Removal method.

When planning your gender confirmation surgery, it is important to follow your surgeon’s protocols and allow for sufficient time prior to surgery for hair removal. It can take anything between 6 – 18 months to complete genital hair removal in order to prevent future ingrown hairs internally in your new sex organ. Treatment sessions can range from one hour to several depending on the amount of hair to be removed, your tolerance, your work schedule and your finances. Hormone therapy/testosterone blocker pre-surgery is important for clearance of all hair in any area. Donating enough time to the process, discontinuing any method of temporary hair removal with the exception of cutting and shaving, needs to become your priority. Electrolysis is an investment in yourself!
